📊 U.S. Hotel Performance Mixed in June, CoStar Reports

From June 15 to 21, the U.S. hotel industry recorded steady year-over-year growth, according to CoStar. National occupancy reached 70.5%, up 1.3%, with ADR rising to $163.77 and RevPAR climbing 3.3% to $115.39. Among top markets, San Francisco led with strong gains in both occupancy (+17.2%) and RevPAR (+26.7%), while Boston posted the highest ADR at $276.12. Las Vegas, however, saw declines across key metrics, including a 12.6% drop in occupancy. The data highlights uneven trends, shaped by regional travel patterns and shifting demand for group bookings. 💥 Hyatt Sells Playa Real Estate to Tortuga for $2 Billion

Hyatt Hotels has agreed to sell the real estate portfolio of Playa Hotels to Tortuga Resorts for $2 billion, as part of its shift toward an asset-light model. The sale covers 15 resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Hyatt had acquired Playa for $2.6 billion including debt and will retain operations through long-term management agreements.
