Edition opens new resort in Italy
The EDITION Hotels brand will open a resort on Italy’s Lake Como in March 2026. The property will reside in a converted 19th-century palazzo, featuring 148 guest rooms and suites with lake views and restored French balconies. Signature amenities include a floating pool, a private dock, and a high-tech longevity spa. Dining will be overseen by Michelin-star chef Mauro Colagreco, offering seasonal, sustainable ingredients at the flagship restaurant. The opening reinforces EDITION’s growth in Italy. Read more
Air Canada waives change fees for new bookings
Air Canada announced that for certain new bookings made between August 27 and September 12 2025, change fees and standard seat-selection fees are waived. The offer applies to flights operated by Air Canada, Rouge, and Express, and permits one fee-free change within the original cabin, subject to availability. Hotel Royal’s evianSpa launches spa-stay packages
At Hotel Royal – Evian Resort in France, the newly rebranded 1,700 m² evianSpa is offering its first spa-stay packages. Three themed programmes — Celestial, Precious, and Vitalising—are built around the natural water-cycle concept of the evian mineral spring. Each includes breakfast, spa access, and a €150 per-day dining credit across the resort’s restaurants. Marriott expands mid-scale presence in Japan
Marriott International has signed an agreement with Pacifica Hotels G.K. to open the mid-scale brand City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South in 2026. The 143-room hotel will occupy 14 floors near Hanazonokita, Nishinari-ku, in Osaka, providing convenient access to Namba, Dōtonbori, Abeno Harukas and Osaka Castle Park. The property strengthens Marriott’s portfolio in Japan’s mid-market segment. Read more.
