⚠️ Labor shortages remain a pressing challenge for US hotels
The US hotel industry continues to face labor shortages in 2025, operating below pre-pandemic levels despite rising occupancy and average daily rates (ADRs). Hotels are expected to employ 2.17 million workers this year, down from 2.37 million in 2019. More than 71% of hotels have unfilled positions, with turnover rates exceeding 70% in many frontline roles. Wage growth and increased H-2B visas have not resolved the issue, as younger workers avoid hospitality jobs and demand for visas outpaces supply. Noble House Hotels & Resorts has unveiled The Sylvan Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The property offers 38 rooms and suites with RH furnishings, heated stone bathroom floors, soaking tubs, and expansive windows. Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE, the world’s leading Prince tribute band, will perform at Resorts Casino Hotel’s Superstar Theater on September 27, 2025.
