Marriott Hotels has opened its first all-inclusive resort in Cancun, featuring 450 redesigned guestrooms, 13 dining options, and various activities for all ages, aiming to provide memorable multigenerational travel experiences. 

At the end of Q2 2024, the U.S. hotel pipeline hit a record high with 6,095 hotels and 713,151 rooms, showing a 9% YOY increase in projects and 8% in rooms. Extended-stay and midscale brands dominate the pipeline, with significant growth expected through 2026.

CEO Neel Desai announced that after four years of planning, the first YourSpace hotel, a 4-story, 122-key extended stay property with fully furnished kitchens, is set to open next summer. Choice Hotels International has opened four new Cambria Hotels in Denver, Niagara Falls, Rehoboth, and North Conway, expanding the brand's upscale, full-service offerings.
