US rollout for Ruby Hotels by IHG
IHG Hotels & Resorts acquired the Ruby Hotels brand (Europe-based) in February for about €110.5 million ($115.8 million). With 16 open hotels and another 19 in development in Europe, IHG has now declared the U.S. as the “next logical step” for Ruby’s expansion. The target is urban markets where guests seek compact, design-forward stays. IHG aims to grow Ruby to more than 120 hotels over the next decade and over 250 in 20 years. Read more.

Marriott International is reportedly considering entry into the airport lounge market, according to comments from CEO Anthony Capuano. The Sarnia Hotels group invited guests to skip daily housekeeping and in doing so they raised £10,278 for the charity Guernsey Trees for Life. BG Hotels (Spain) has acquired Mexican hotel-asset owner Ganzi, thereby gaining entry into the Latin American market with assets in Playa del Carmen. Tivoli Hotels & Resorts expands into Italy
Tivoli Hotels & Resorts (part of Minor Hotels) will open the Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce in Italy’s Puglia region in April 2026. The 45-room hotel is located in Lecce’s historic centre and includes a rooftop lounge, wellness facilities, and access to nearby beaches. The AC Hotels by Marriott brand has debuted its first location in Vermont with the 161-room AC Hotel Burlington Downtown.
