Waterbury, Connecticut is proposing an ordinance to ban hourly rentals of hotel and motel rooms to curb human trafficking, prostitution, and other illegal activity. Under the new proposal, renting a room for 12 hours or less could result in fines up to $250. A public hearing is scheduled for September 8.
