Check-in Time for Los Angeles County’s Hotel Worker Protections Ordinance

The Hotel Worker Protections Ordinance (HWPO) passed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors aims to strengthen labour and safety standards for hotel staff in unincorporated LA County. From April 1, 2026, hotels must provide panic-buttons for workers, limit room-cleaning volume per shift, cap overtime, and maintain detailed records. From October 1, 2026, staff will also need six hours of certified housekeeping training to receive a “Public Housekeeping Certificate.” The law targets improved safety, fair load, and worker rights — and aligns the County with similar protections already in place in Los Angeles city, Santa Monica and West Hollywood. Hospitality Company Makes US Debut with New Hotel in Miami Beach

Namron Hospitality, a Mexican hotel operator, has launched its first U.S. hotel: Le Particulier Miami. Housed in a restored Art-Deco building, the 54-room boutique hotel uses pastel tones, tropical design and 1930s-era charm to evoke vintage Miami glamour. The property also introduces Namron’s vegan-forward restaurant concept, offering fresh, colourful cuisine in a design-forward, heritage-inspired setting. Read more.

Casa Mani Resort Napa Valley to Open Early 2026

Casa Mani Resort Napa Valley — part of Curio Collection by Hilton — is slated to open in early 2026 after a major redesign. The resort features 203 guestrooms and suites, many with private patios and fire pits, spa-style bathrooms, and temperature-controlled wine fridges. Guests can expect large rooms (among the biggest in downtown Napa), an expansive pool and hot tub, landscaped outdoor areas with fire pits, and ample event space (over 15,000 sq ft). Dining will emphasise local produce and regional cuisine, and a spa and wellness centre will offer a retreat-style experience in the heart of wine country. Read more.
